Kathy and Deric Kidd bring more than 50 years of combined real estate and mortgage experience to the people they serve.
As a Realtor and Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Results, Kathy has built her career around helping clients navigate some of life’s biggest transitions. Deric, a seasoned mortgage professional and Branch Manager with Bank CMG, brings decades of lending experience and a deep understanding of the financial side of homeownership.

Her experience with custom home building, property condition, negotiation, and complex transactions allows her to help clients look beyond simply buying or selling a house and make decisions that support where they want to go next.

Deric has spent more than 25 years helping buyers understand their financing options and structure mortgages around their individual goals. His knowledge, steady approach, and ability to simplify what can often feel like a complicated process make him an invaluable resource for their clients.
But for us, this business has always been about more than houses and mortgages.
We believe a home is often connected to a much bigger story—a growing family, a career change, an empty nest, a move across the country, a dream of acreage living, retirement, or simply deciding that it is time for something different.
Having experienced many of life’s chapters ourselves, we understand the importance of having trusted people beside you when making big decisions. Become Their Voice
We live and work in Central Iowa and are deeply invested in the communities we serve. Outside of our businesses, we are the founders of Become Their Voice, a nonprofit created in honor of our son, Sebastian, focused on youth mental health, substance-use awareness, fentanyl poisoning education, early intervention, and supporting families.
BecomeTheirVoice.org is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and educating the public about the mental health challenges and growing drug crisis impacting today’s society. We address issues such as depression, anxiety, bullying, peer pressure, emotional and physical pain, chemical dependency, self-medication, and the impact of social media. Our organization partners with mental health professionals and local law enforcement. We present at educational institutions and community forums to foster open conversations about these topics. Through our collective efforts, we strive to create a supportive environment that empowers individuals to understand these challenges and explore effective coping strategies with compassion and informed support.
K & K Properties
K & K Properties is a home renovation company led by Kathy and Deric Kidd. Together, they see the potential in existing homes and bring them back to life through thoughtful renovations.
Their work includes everything from updating kitchens, bathrooms and major home systems to restoring the details that make a property distinctive. At 4400 NW 6th Drive in Des Moines, they transformed the interior while refinishing the original hardwood floors and restoring the home’s woodwork. Across their projects, Kathy and Deric aim to create homes that feel fresh and functional while honoring what made them special in the first place.
